Key Tips: Always be sure to have a nice straight line running down your spin (no chin to chest action) and your core engaged. Shoulders should in line with your thumbs and your focus should be down. When doing a kneeling push up, you are not directly on your knee caps, make sure you are just above on the quads. DO WHAT IS BEST FOR YOUR LEVEL! Variations Shown: Wall Chair Kneeling Full BOSU

Are you ready to push up? Check out this clip from my last virtual group I did (14 Days to a Healthier You.) Strength and Stretch - Set to music in counts of four for each move, similar to our FLOWs and our they are counted. This makes it a little more challenging and concentrated. When you have fun music to go along with though it makes for a fun challenge! Things to keep in mind when doing these exercises. GO AT YOUR FITNESS LEVEL! Push ups can be done in many different ways (check back next week for that blog post) and can easily be modified. When doing a kneeling push up be sure not to put any pressure on your actual knees. Keep your position just above the knees near the quadriceps. Be sure to keep a nice straight line down your spine and your focus between your hands. For the dolphin push up you are leading with your head and your spine should still remain aligned all the way up. Don't tuck your chin. As with any new workout routine be sure to consult with a physician before starting. Give this a shot and let me know what you think. |
